How does VPC
work?
VPC replaces the costly
printing and distribution of
scratch cards with a network of
point of sale terminals, and a
prepaid number server.
When a customer purchases a

scratch card, the system prints the prepaid PIN at the local terminal. VPC offers a safe and manageable process
for PIN distribution, saving costs to both the operator and the distributor, and expanding the potential for managing
and enhancing the prepaid card process.

VPC is more secure than the bank vaults and armored cars you use today to distribute scratch cards.
All communications across the VPC network are encrypted using an advanced encryption algorithm.
The prepaid card data on the server is also encrypted, so this valuable data is doubly protected from end to end.
The sales person is required to present identification - with a PIN code or swipe card - to prevent unauthorized use.
Immediate replenishment by VPC eliminates opportunities for fraud.
Flexible
VPC can transmit PIN card information across any network medium, including wireless, switched
network, Internet, or leased line. VPC can interconnect to existing terminal equipment at the point of
sale, including credit card readers, cash registers and sales terminals, or local computers.
If the point of sale installs a dedicated terminal, it can later share that terminal with other sales applications.
Configurable
VPC supports the sale of numerous types of cards, with different terms and prices. It can be
configured to support cards of multiple operators. VPC can even be configured to sell other virtual
products, such as movie tickets and so on.
Integrated
VPC integrates seamlessly with the operator’s and the distributors’ accounts receivable and
general ledger systems, with the operator’s prepaid system and billing system, and with direct debit
and credit card clearing houses.
VPC is fully integrated with the other products of the DSM prepaid suite such as VAM (Virtual
Account Management), for Internet retail & prepaid surfing solutions (prepaid & post-paid) as well as
the PSCA (Prepaid Services Complementary Applications).

sales performance in real time. Auditors have full traceability and accountability of points of sale.
VPC supports dealer compensation and bonus programs. Dealer and sales compensation is
calculated automatically. VPC also supports credit caps and other controls for sales agents.
When a point of sale exceeds its credit cap, it is automatically blocked from further sales.
